Executive Director
Ron has been the Executive Director of BCC since its begining in 1989. He holds his D.Min from Westminster Seminary and is a Fellow and Board member of the National Asociation of Nouthetic Counselors. He is also on the board of Low Country Biblical Counseling Center and is an elder in his local church, Harvest Bible Chapel. He and his wife Sherry enjoy traveling to various missions locations and have had the opportunity to teach counseling in many foreign countries. They have three married adult children and seven grandchildren.

Counselor / Teacher
Sherry Allchin has a Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Seminary, Newburg IN, and has been counseling at Biblical Counseling Center in Arlington Heights since 1994.
Sherry and her husband Ron have served in ministry together for 38 years, with more than 20 years experience in youth ministry and several years teaching in Christian schools. Since 1989 they have worked together at BCC, and enjoy traveling and teaching at seminars together around the globe. They attend Harvest Bible Chapel, Rolling Meadows IL.
She and her husband Ron have three married children who all serve the Lord alongside godly mates. Sherry enjoys reading and gardening, but especially loves spoiling her seven wonderful grandchildren.

|  | Karen Coulter, M.A.[ NANC & IABC Certified ]
Counselor / Teacher
Karen is a graduate of Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Counseling. She trained under Dr. Allchin in 1991 and received her NANC certification in 1992. After relocating to the Minneapolis, MN area, Karen started and directed her own counseling center, providing counseling services to over 20 churches. Karen has since moved back to IL and joined the staff of BCC where she has been counseling for several years. Karen wrote an article published in The Journal of Biblical Counseling on "Helping Women with Post-Abortion" and has written several articles for the BCC Bulletin and Mended Lives newsletter. Karen presently resides in the Northwest Suburbs with her husband and daughter.

Counselor / Teacher
Don is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity school with a Master's in Religious education. For the past eight years he has served as co-director of the Divorce Recovery Ministry at Harvest Bible Chapel. In the past he was a member of the board of directors and the treasurer for Stan Stelchin Ministries. Don has been a counselor at BCC for several years and has contributed numerous articles to the BCC Bulletin. Don and his wife Donna live in Palatine, IL and have 2 grandchildren.

Counselor / Teacher
Jeff is a graduate of Trinity Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. He has been associated with BCC since 1991, first as a volunteer, then as a part-time counselor and now full time since 1999 as a counselor/teacher and Academic Administrator. Jeff has also written several articles for the BCC Bulletin. He has served as an elder at his church. He and his wife Saralyn homeschool their three children Garrett, Caroline, and Shane.

|  | Ryan Sems
Graphic Designer
Ryan is a graduate of South Florida University with a BA in Fine Art and an emphasis on Computer Imaging. He joined BCC in 2006. His responsibilities include designing and editing all printed materials, such as the BCC Bulletins, Mended Lives newsletters, promotional brochures, inserts, etc. He is also responsible for editing and maintaining various aspects of the BCC website, such as the content pages and the online store. In addition, he serves a limited role as videographer and video editor for occasional projects. He is currently active in network maintenance, such as setting up e-mail/user accounts, list-serv administration, purchasing and installing new media, maintaining network connections, and any other help-desk issues that may arise. Ryan is glad to be a part of the BCC family.

|  | Kim Cunningham
Office Administrator
Kim is the Office Administrator for the BCC. Her responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments and various other tasks. This is her first experience working with a ministry. She attends Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, and is involved in a weekly bible study. She is the youngest in her family and has an older brother and sister, along with two nieces and one nephew. She enjoys music, movies, animals and hanging out with her friends and family. She will be attending the Foundations course coming up in the Fall and looks forward to her future at the BCC.

|  | Linda Powell
Receptionist
Linda attends First Baptist Church in Downers Grove with her son Brad and her grandson and granddaughter. She loves helping with the Overcomers group, Outreach committee and PADS ministries, especially working with those who are in bondage to addictions. She is taking classes in biblical counseling in order to be better equipped to be used by God to help and encourage others. She is presently attending two bible studies one at Harvest and one at First Baptist and enjoying the fellowship and growing in the Word.
She has two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren who are the joy of her life. Her dear parents and sister live in California where she was born and raised.
She loves to walk with her dog Chloe and read in her spare time. I am very excited to be part of the team at the Biblical Counseling Center.
