I first came to Biblical Counseling Center a number of years ago to work through some anxiety issues that were hindering my peace and ministry at my local church. That is when I first learned to look to the Scriptures for answers in dealing with the various issues I was encounter- ing in my life. Through the victory I experienced then and the growth that followed, I became first a short-term missionary and then a vocational missionary to Kenya, East Africa.

   God has helped me to under- stand His ways rather than depending on the psychological counseling I had previously experienced.
 

    While serving Him as a missionary in Kenya, a co-worker and I were held at gunpoint and robbed. Because of the Biblical counseling I was able to see His hand throughout the entire event. His Word showed me He had a plan for how to move past the trauma. During the last few years I have as I observed Kenyans I work with and love mistreated or even killed by other tribal groups. Once again I sought counsel from BCC to help me address my questions and fears by looking at who God is and what His Word says about life when it doesn’t make sense or seem fair. Through the counsel I received at BCC, God has empowered me to be strong and courageous and better able to do the ministry which He has called me to do. I continue to grow in my process of sanctification and in trusting Him daily for all that I need.
