From the Executive Director
Words cannot express my deep appreciation for you, our ministry partners who have faithfully prayed and given to the ministries of Biblical Counseling Center over these 23 years. Sherry and I are so grateful. This ministry would not exist without loyal friends like you who are unswerving in your commitment to the sufficiency of the Scripture for counseling.
Sherry and I are thrilled with the theme of this year’s Fellowship Dinner, “Impacting the Next Generation.” We're excited about new ideas being generated by our staff and board who are dedicated to expanding the impact of Biblical counseling to those of the coming generation.
We realize it requires creativity to adapt to the venues and various technologies that this and the next generation expect and through which they communicate and live their lives. To take this ministry to the next generation, while accomplishing the same mission, language and methods must be modified and expanded.
Some of these changes will include one-day on-site seminars for those who want smaller chunks of specific training rather than just the four-Saturday inclusive seminars. There will be more counseling training online with opportunity for live interaction with a staff counselor/teacher.
Along with in-office counseling we are expanding our options for personalized counseling through web-video counseling online, and sending homework to the counselee as an email attachment. Some of our counselors are presently counseling missionaries in Kenya, China, and Kyrgyzstan. The world is getting smaller and smaller with each generation. Your continuing prayers and gifts are needed as these wonderful changes to the ministries of BCC are realized.
In February, our staff taught over 200 students in Romania, graduating 55 of them with Certificates for taking all four training seminars. International Training Opportunities take us to Cuba and Ethiopia during the next several months. Please continue to pray and give toward the future ITO ministries of BCC as we continue impacting the next generation.
God bless you all,
Dr. Ronald A Allchin, Sr.
