It is our firm conviction that biblical counseling should be done under the oversight of the local church, whether in a single congregation or in conjunction with several congregations. Under this oversight you will have accountability as well as the resources of a larger portion of the body of Christ to assist you in working with fellow Christians. In order to assist local congregations to effectively and biblically counsel one another, BCC has developed these four training seminars that equip Christians to accomplish this task with an opportunity to receive our Certificate of Achievement. Our Certificate of Achievement acknowledges that an individual has thoughtfully navigated through the theology and counseling issues, as well as, articulated a working knowledge on how to teach and admonish their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Our certificate is available to those who satisfactorily complete all four courses (Foundations of Biblical Counseling, Contemporary Issues in Biblical Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling and Advanced Issues in Biblical Counseling). By completing all four of our seminars sufficiently will prepare an individual to pursue national certification in one of two biblical counseling associations (NANC or IABC). We strongly encourage all who develop counseling abilities to move forward toward national certification. |
